Mikä on syy, miksi teen tätä?
Cognitive dissonance – from Waking Up to Empowerment

Cognitive dissonance – from Waking Up to Empowerment

Watch video ”Cognitive dissonance – from Waking Up to Empowerment” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. It is like being in two realities at the same time. However, the experience is not about two “separate” realities, but vantage points on one and the same thing. One vantage point is where the view is very limited [mind] and the other is where the vantage point _includes_ the previous one while making the whole even bigger through not being limited [heart, spirit, whole]. Make sense? 😛 I describe this in my paper [link below] as the movement from the stage of “waking up” into “empowerment”. This is where the mind releases its power – in the limited and limiting function – naturally and the part of our humanity kept hidden takes the vacant space, i.e. where the mind has no place. The stages go something like this. When one is in the world of “helplessness” the mind is in control. Words like fear, competition, time, scarcity, mater, knowing and such describe this stage well. The next stage is “waking up” where intuition, listening to oneself, nature, awareness, energy and using one’s own fears as a source of wisdom, power and understanding makes much more sense. The last phase is “empowerment”. This is where one feels to have a new identity, knowing, connection, purpose and meaning as a part of the larger whole while taking responsibility through the sense of taking care of something very important in our lives. The movement from “waking up” to “empowerment” is proving to be very interesting where the heart kindly occupies the place where the...
Ending the desire for roles & acceptance

Ending the desire for roles & acceptance

Watch video ”Ending the desire for roles & acceptance” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. A deep-seated realisation in the wake of my previous vlog. I have roles upon roles to alter myself “correctly” within given circumstances. These roles include being the right kind of boy, man, son, part of society, having the right kind of background, education, title, income, position, standing ect. These roles, if “correct enough” I get accepted. Bad roles however are ones rarely getting any acceptance. The roles of being in trouble, sick, unemployed, alcoholic, drug addict or addiction of any kind … These roles diminish the value of the preferred roles. The genuine me, authentic self is not lost under these roles, which fight feverishly to hold up an exterior of “good”, “appropriate” and “right” so we can receive acceptance. The genuine me is right here, with us at this very moment FROM WHICH we deviate away toward a more preferable role, which will get more acceptance than who we really are i.e. human. This realisation, to see myself keep up these roles with strenuous effort. My REALISATION was not that the true self was hiding, no. My realisation was that when momentarily I stopped reaching for a role, I gravitated back to who I am. No effort. True self is right here and now, it has never been in hiding. It is just that my ideas of acceptance has kept me continuously trying to get into roles that will gain acceptance, because my basic premise has been that my true self is not worth it. I am wrong. So wrong and for so...
Me – Fake

Me – Fake

Watch video ”Me – Fake” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. This on going process of being revealed as inauthentic, is quite hard to accept. I became aware of these roles, which I have been playing unconsciously. Just few times was I able to squeeze in times, when the true me, the total human being was revealed. The telltale sign of this is vulnerability. The whole human being, who I am, is dealing with ALL of my life events. As I am being affected by these events, my roles emerge to deal with the very exterior. When I have spoken from my heart, I have felt the sense of disconnection being so ”other” and ”different”. Therefore In many of the roles, the expressions of my inner reality, are not acceptable. As I have not been able to share myself authentically, even though I promised to do so, this is a journey to see the whole of my actions – the totality of it. How much I have been disregarding my genuine self even with my best efforts to do so. QUESTION OF THE DAY:  Have you caught yourself playing roles OR have you been able to really share with yourself of who you truly...
Miracle of life – What is spiritual growth?

Miracle of life – What is spiritual growth?

Watch video ”Miracle of life – What is spiritual growth?” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. This theme encapsulates many smaller insights. As a whole I could describe this the witnessing of the miracle of life; the mysticism of life, the magic of it. The starting point, is the allowing of one’s own awareness, to be present in a place where strong reactions have their control. As we REACT consciously but mostly unconsciously with fear, loneliness, anger, uncertainty, pain… nothing really changes, ever. When we wholeheartedly stop in this challenging place within us, with the intention of listening and witnessing, this action alone allows a space where it was not before. Just like that, after a while of witnessing and being present, a miracle of life takes place. Naturally a new point of view, now accompanied by the key words in spiritual intelligence, WISDOM and COMPASSION, takes hold on to our experience. It is the place of transformation and growth. We now slowly start to witness the new perspective, new insight, which was covered earlier by our own reactions. This is the miracle and mystical experience of life growing and pushing through. Just a moment before there were fear, angst and darkness – not there is life, light and awareness with new possibilities. QUESTION OF THE DAY: Have you ever been in a situation where you have been able to replace your hard reactions with wisdom and compassion, thus gaining an insight that allows more life and possibilities rather than what in you reactions were present...
Awakening, not hard, not easy

Awakening, not hard, not easy

Watch video ”Awakening, not hard, not easy” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. Awakening to a new sense of reality, is experiencing the dual input of the heart and mind at the same time, at least in my case! 😀 This experience is relational only to realising my supreme duty, my calling and wanting to extend a genuine expression of myself into the world. The feeling of duality – the message coming from the mind AND the heart – comes clear as I continue taking steps deeper into what I feel needs to come out through me. This happens simultaneously and BOTH of them are as REAL and TRUE as it gets: On one hand, I have my mind telling what is right and what is wrong: ”I should have done this and that.” ”Why didn’t I… ?” ”This is way too elementary…” My mind is criticising, pushing and shoving me to the “right” direction and not accepting anything in between. On the other hand, having being able to exert my deepest views as raw and incomplete as they are into the world, I feel immersed with gratitude, gratefulness, fulfilment, connection and deep seated satisfaction of being able to take one necessary step forward on my spiritual journey. Being heard by myself [also by others is a bonus], I find, is one central key in this journey indeed! This is the ”duality”; mind and heart at the same time telling their point of view. My greatest effort so far is to align myself with those two in a balanced & inspiring way. QUESTION OF THE DAY: Have you had...
On the explosive nature of insights – Part II

On the explosive nature of insights – Part II

Watch video ”On the explosive nature of insights – Part 2” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. In this second part on the nature of explosive insights I’m going deeper into WHAT it was that “hit” me. As it is still kind of hard to verbalise, a mosaic of ideas and concepts came together into a more coherent whole: This is a two-fold issue. Firstly; our perspective determines what we see, think and feel when we face a particular problem. Secondly; instead of feeling the pressure to “change” in order to tackle the problem REACTIVELY i.e. based on our current perspective about the ”problem”, we RESPOND to it with our GROWTH. This gives us totally new perspective within the same reality we’re living in right now. We’re able to see very different results as we answer the very questions proposed by the problems we face. This is independent of the field of observation we’re in: relationships, politics, medicine, technology, education, ecology and so forth. This is much like reading a book. As one of the perspectives and understandings of this book [or a problem] is mine – while others will have their own understanding to the very same lines I read – then, for me to have genuinely different perspective to the same lines of the book, is to change myself as a person. This happens naturally often with time: what we read ten years ago, we do ”extract” a very different meaning from the same story now, as our perspective has changed through our experiences. But when this growth is done consciously, while suspending our reactions to the...
On the explosive nature of insights – Part I

On the explosive nature of insights – Part I

Watch video ”On the explosive nature of insights – Part 1” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. The explosive nature of insight; I’m in the middle of it right now. It is a bodily experience that is beyond the reach of my mind. Without being in the context of spiritual self-leadership and in the field of internal development I would be questioning my sanity – with a very positive undertone. This experience, I could say, is changing my whole being that is beyond me to explain, but what can I say about it is that it is meaningful, purposeful and connection enhancing experience. Next episode will be about what this insight had to offer. I also believe that this is the gateway not only to novel insights, but to a larger understanding of our connectedness and namely, vastness, which makes it so much more interesting in relation to innovations, inventions and untapped possibilities and potential. This feels quite like a workout, but without the actual heavy lifting, from which it takes some time to settle. Sorry for being a bit disoriented, but I wanted to share the true experience as it just happened. QUESTION OF THE DAY: Have you experienced within your own daily life or witnessed something similar in somewhere or someone else; the feeling of something magnificent happening, beyond your mind to explain it – while you know it is truly happening and it feels very meaningful in reference of who you are. *** Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log...
How I found my true self

How I found my true self

Watch video ”How I found my true self” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. This time, facing my internal pressure, uncertainty and doubt, was very different. I still feel wobbly and disoriented from the experience. Going through my internal limitations once more I ended up feeling totally separated, isolated, alone and disregarded – exactly the intuitive feeling I got earlier! _BUT_ this time something else was ALSO present only after I was able to recognise it. What was present was the opposite experience of those negatives. The _exact same_ experiences and my feelings started to turn around: Separation became merged with different kind of unity. Isolation felt as a new connection and being disregarded became the foundation of uniqueness. Being alone was being myself, on my two...
Philosophy for Silicon Valley CEOs

Philosophy for Silicon Valley CEOs

Watch video ”Philosophy for Silicon Valley CEOs” vlog of Spiritual Intelligence [SQ] and Self-Leadership Journey Log. + Link to the “Silicon Valley executives are hiring philosophers to teach them to question everything” article: bit.ly/2p0MVrp Two quotes caught my eye: “The moment where philosophy is most helpful are during the biggest swings.” and “Philosophers arrive on the scene at the moment when bullshit can no longer be tolerated.” These quotes bring helpful and sad connotations to philosophy. One is that the “right” to go deeper into our reality through inquiry is everyone’s right, as it is philosophers “duty”. Everyone has a key vantage point into our reality. The second is that when the toleration of bullshit has reached its limit, philosophers arrive, often times saying the same thing “they” have been saying for years or even centuries, but left ignore. Much like many other people do also, but also are being ignored. The basic premise in here is to constructively question everything, offering no assumptions, finding out what works and when. Also be free to let go of what does not work. This releases us from the illusory comfort of “knowing”. The comfort and peace can also be found through the penetrative questioning and going into deeper into our reality i.e. not knowing. This makes us free to know and release what ever is necessary at any given time. This IS natural and very inspirational for a free individual roaming in the field of knowledge. This is called real education. QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you think that inquiry is the sole right of the philosophers?...
